Let me introduce you to my wonderful husband and our “little men” (as I often refer to them). My hubby, David, and I have quite a story about how we met (which I’ll save it for another post), but the short of it is that my parents met him first and called me while I was 3000 miles away in college to tell me that they “met my husband”. I thought nothing of it knowing I would never marry someone my parents chose, c’mon that’s crazy, right? But, sure enough when I came home that summer, I too met my husband.
Fast forward 11 years and here were are with 4 rambunctious little boys and life is truly beautiful…crazy, but beautiful nonetheless! We’ve been so blessed because not only are our little men healthy and happy, they’re friggin’ adorable too!
Miguel (8) is the oldest and definitely fits the profile for oldest sibling. He’s a love! He’s got such a natural inclination to do good, which he totally gets from my better half, and he’s always looking out for his little brothers. He’s charming, outgoing, incredibly affectionate and just an all-around proper little gent. He loves sports (mainly basketball, soccer, and tennis), dreams of being an actor someday, and could live off cereal and pasta for the rest of his life.
Alejandro (6), aka “Ale”, is our miraculously red-headed, wild child. We have no idea where he got his gorgeous mane of perfect auburn hair but we love it, and most importantly HE loves it. To say it suits him pretty much explains everything about his personality haha. He’s feisty and hot-tempered but oh so witty and genuinely thoughtful. He’s our little artist. Sitting at the table with pencils or paints and a blank canvas is his happy place. Did I mention he’s a great sous chef…he loves to be in the kitchen, apron and all!
Israel (2), aka “Chapis”, is our sweet little tornado of a toddler. The nickname “Chapis” essentially means “the littlest one” in Spanish, but don’t be fooled by his size, the kid keeps everyone on their toes. He’s our little acrobat and pretty much anything he can climb up, jump off of, or balance himself onto is game. My days with him are full of mini-heart attacks because he’s always testing his agility, but I get such a kick outta watching him explore his world. He’s very independent, and likes his space but my goodness he gives the best “squishies” (aka hugs).
And lastly (for now anyway haha), we just welcomed Joaquin to our family this past February! His little personality is still developing, but as of yet he’s the most delicious butterball of love. He loves to be loved – the more kisses and cuddles the better! He’s been one of my easiest babies so far, just happy and chill without a complaint so long as he’s got mama’s milk close by. I can’t wait to watch him grow and start to interact with his brothers. He’ll no doubt bring even more happiness to our home.
Well, there you have it, you’ve met all my men. Here’s the most recent pictures I took of my hubby with our boys for Father’s Day. The Lord knew what he was doing by blessing us with all boys, they have an amazing father to look up to <3
